Description:

The color of Sapele varies from log to log, but is generally medium to dark red-brown. The grain is straight and moderately porous. Flat cut veneer shows the characteristic cathedral grain pattern.

Applications:
Sapele is used widely in furniture, cabinet work, and interior decoration. It is ideal for office systems where consistent veneer is needed for large runs of production. It is used architecturally where vertical ribbon surfaces are needed.
