1/16th veneer: Twice as thick
If you want the look of substance, consider 1/16-inch-thick veneer. More than twice as thick as the standard 1/42 to 1/50, it gives a heavier, more solid look to doors, trim, moldings and baseboards. And it offers more stability for pieced applications. The thicker, more durable leaves are easier to piece and sand out in applications like style and rail doors.
