Sequencing
In many instances, such as the door and stock panel markets, sequencing is not required for certain graded demands. In some of the commercial, higher volume graded markets, no two doors have to look alike, nor do panels in the stock panel world.
However, we here at Dooge Veneers deal with many markets where sequenced material is required for the aesthetic and design intent of high end projects. Upon receipt of veneers, either via commercial freight or ocean containers, our staff puts every log that requires sequence by grade on our grading tables prior to running it through our measuring line. Even though the veneers are received with bar code tags on each bundle, the sequence of the numbers as received from the mill may or may not be in exact sequence. Through the process of laying out each log on the grading tables, we insure that each log is truly sequenced.
This added value gives each customer the confidence that they can receive the veneers for production and literally take the material out of the the crate and process the demands for each individual project, knowing the order is just as it should be.
